The Art League of Henderson County has a membership of over one hundred artists and art lovers and is one of the oldest established art organizations in North Carolina. Membership is not restricted to Henderson County, either. All are welcome to join.

The Arts Council of Henderson County is a community organization that promotes, advocates for, and nurtures the arts in Henderson County and western North Carolina. The Arts Council of Henderson County was founded in 1971 by a group of persons who held strong beliefs that the arts and culture play an important role in the social fabric of the community. Over the past 45 years, the Arts Council has understood the value of cultural programs; how they strengthen our local economy, provide authentic experiences, services, and products, and retain employment in our community. A strong creative economy generates revenue, and is the cornerstone of tourism in Henderson County.

Advocates For The Arts of Henderson County retains its overall mission of bringing the Arts to the people of Henderson County, NC through funding sustainable Arts education as it continues its established efforts in various venues throughout the county.
